  2. That's so funny - I got Anna and the French Kiss this week too and mine looks exactely the same. The pages are ruffeled which I think is an error during production or something.
    I wasn't so sure either if I was okay with it but now I think it adds a bit of flair to the book. Maybe that's just me convincing myself to love it so I can read it right now. :-) Who knows?
    Your books look lovely and there are some I will definitely check out.

  13. OOh, Battle Royale is soo good. Have you ever seen the movie? BOoks into movie can be a sticky subject, but this one has cult status. Highly recommended.

  15. I can't listen to the video until I get home and have some earphones, but I read Battle Royale and LOVED IT. It isn't the best written book (and it looks like you have the older translation, so be aware there is a few spots of translation errors), but I liked the story a lot. I literally opened it one night intending to read just a few pages and didn't put it down until dinnertime the next day!

    I would suggest making copies of the list of students at the beginning to write your thoughts about the character and how/who kills them. It helped me a lot keep track of things since the names were so unusual to me.
